Spark
We already see many people on social media “wrapping up” their month of reading and posting about it in all sorts of creative ways. We also lack features that drive external sharing.
Hypothesis
We can motivate people to both share off-platform, and use Lists and Streaks, by allowing users to create and share a graphic at the end of the month with their reading stats.
Outcome
One of our most beloved features, the amount of users who share their stats has increased MoM and has growth to an over 50% retention rate. Users who use this feature retain at a much higher level than those who don’t. Similar apps are now copying this feature.
Experience
-
Rely on similar content creation and sharing apps to develop a flow that is both familiar, and exciting.
-
Fable has a history of being known as a utilitarian (albeit, also beautiful) tool for book-lovers. This feature is one that should feel both immersive and celebratory -- whether you read one book or 10 this month.
-
This feature continuously, MoM, trends up with retention.
